Google Map - Instructions to Finding Your Service Coordinates PDF Print E-mail

There are two (2) fields when adding your service to the directory that are required to enable a Google Map of the location of your service. These are "Latitude" and "Longitude".

Luckily, there is a very simple way to find latitude and longitude values for any location using Google Maps.

You'll first need to look up the street address of the service, but this only works if the address is centered (it's centered by default). So, moving the map around will not make this work. You can recentre the map by right-clicking on the marker and selecting "Centre Map". When marker is dead center, copy and paste this code into your browser bar (or address bar) and press enter:

javascript:void(prompt('',gApplication.getMap().getCenter()));

You'll get a popup with the coordinates (see the image below. Please contact the Association should you require any assistance with this process, or email the Webmaster on This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .
