Upon completion of this workshop, participants will have a basic understanding of the functions of the brain and of the impact an acquired brain injury (ABI) has on an individual’s life. In addition participants will have a basic understanding of the more common impairments, behaviours and effects of ABI and how some of these can be more appropriately managed.
This workshop is most suited to individuals and organisations that have had limited exposure to persons with an ABI, and provides a very useful foundation for further behaviour training such as the Synapse Training workshop Understanding and Managing Complex and Challenging Behaviour. |
